Our Analytics team comprises product & data analysts who focus on improving customer/product/driver/restaurant experience by providing top-line reporting solutions, ML, business intelligence analytics, and strategic solutions to product and engineering teams by providing actionable insights and identifying potential opportunities. The Analytics function operates in a centralized manner and cuts through all business, engineering, product, and design teams
The Analytics team partners with decision-makers to solve problems across our entire value chain. What qualities are we looking for?
We’re currently looking for the Head of our IM, Analytics, and Data products, with at least 10-15 years of overall experience, and 5+ years of experience in leading a high-performing team and managing analytics functions across a spectrum of products, strategy & operational ecosystems. The role would entail managing 4-5 work streams working with senior business stakeholders (director +) directly across product/strategy/Engg, and managing a team of 20-25 analysts to begin with.
This leader should bring excellent strategic thinking and analytical frameworks to uplevel the team and current operating model, and expertise in building high-performing teams through coaching and development. Thought leadership & cross-functional partnerships with stakeholders (engineering, product, business, etc) to build next-generation analytics solutions. This leader would be expected to further our data-backed culture and create an impact through data. An ideal candidate will have :
- Bachelor's/Master’s (preferred) degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field
- 10-13 years of overall experience working in analytics with 4-5 years managing large teams including people managers
- At least 7 years of hands-on experience in the technical domain of analytics
- Analytical and strategic thinker with experience solving problems using data and providing practical business insights and driving operational improvements
- Ability to work with ambiguity, unknown variables, and missing context (and find ways to bridge those gaps, when necessary)
- Experience in implementing testing models like hypothesis, regression, etc to move the team to predictive and prescriptive analysis

- Set performance benchmarks for the team; provide feedback and appraise the team at regular intervals
- Own prioritization with stakeholders; negotiate and ensure high impact for work
- Create a roadmap/strategy for the respective business unit in collaboration with stakeholders
